Now for a real shocker:
Deut 13:1-3 1 If there arise among you a prophet, or a dreamer of dreams, and giveth thee a sign or a wonder, 2 And the sign or the wonder come to pass, whereof he spake unto thee, saying, Let us go after other gods, which thou hast not known, and let us serve them; 3 Thou shalt not hearken unto the words of that prophet, or that dreamer of dreams: for the LORD your God proveth you, to know whether ye love the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul. It is a fact that the Hebrew Scriptures have been purposefully forged, misquoted, mistranslated, and lifted grossly out of context for various theological agendas down through the years by the apostate Essenes of Alexandria, Egypt as well as the Roman Christian Church. As a Christian Pastor I was devastated when I first learned of this through my years of detailed and concentrated study both while in Seminary and then later during my pastorate. Sadly few if any contemporary Christians are aware of this problem. Quickly, the bottom line in all of this is that we as Christians in the Western Hemisphere accept, buy, and cherish a Bible that is terribly unfaithful to what the true Hebrew Scriptures say. That simply means that many of the religious beliefs we accept and cherish today as taught by our Christianity, even many theological dogmas concerning our "Jesus Story" and especially the Christology built around him are untrustworthy and often lead to the grossest idolatry as defined by the Jewish Scriptures. Sadly, few Christians know it, having never done the studies into the textual reliability of their Bibles. The harsh reality is that millions, even billions will move on to meet their Creator with hidden idolatry in their lives because of the falsification of the Hebrew Scriptures and the hundreds of misquotes of them in our New Testaments. All along God has allows this corruption of Sacred Scripture to happen in order to see if you and I LOVE HIM ENOUGH WITH ALL OUR SOUL AND HEART to seek Him in Spirit and in Truth!
This is a matter of love as I see it; loving God enough in order to draw so close to Him that He reveals these things to you. I was a man of unclean lips as a traditional "pew-setting" Christian mouthing what I was taught to "believe" but once dedicating my life to God to seek Him with all my heart then the Bible became for me serious study. In was then, and only then did I begin to awaken to see these tragic falsifications of the Bible and eventually I came to a point that I could no longer continue my Pastorate and resigned; now knowing the truth for myself. It was time to tell others and I have dedicated the last fifteen years to such a glorious attempt: to help all return to the true faith once given the saints.
Answer for yourself: Is this falsification of the Sacred Scriptures by the ancient Essenes and the early emerging antisemitic and anti-Gnostic Roman Christian Church during the 2nd through the 5th century fair? Who knows? Yet it has happened. Thus the dedication of myself as an ex-Pastor who discovered this horrible deception and my years of dedicated study in hopes of helping others love God in Spirit and in Truth. I find this is much harder than you might think; especially in light of the fact that our religious documents and texts as Christians are forged in "key" places where Jesus is made into God and where the religious belief system of this "Jewish Christ", as expressed through Biblical Judaism, has been tragically altered by the antisemitic and anti-Gnostic redactors of the New Testament.
I would hope that once you see such purposeful forgeries of the Hebrew Scriptures as you study with Bet Emet that you would align yourself on God's side and righteous indignation arise in your heart because of what has been done to Jesus' Bible and the faith that God intended that you and I have; which sadly we don't possess or even come to be aware of if we never study hard enough to find these issues dealing with the corruption of our Bibles. Again, it is a matter of love for God and He is testing us daily to see if we will draw close to Him in ways where He can show us the error of our ways. Often people would come to me as a Pastor and say: "I know something is wrong Pastor Craig; I just cannot put my finger on it." Sound familiar? Well with the grace of God and persistent effort in seeing both His face and His Truth we believe at Bet Emet that we have found the very crux of the problem: a forged Christian Old and New Testament that has not only tragically misrepresented the "Jewish Christ" and his religious belief system as taught through Biblical Judaism that once went into all the world as seen in Acts 16 but our sad state as ignorant idolators because we have accepted every word of our Christian Bibles never wondering for one second if anything could be wrong with its texts or their translations. It is time to repent of such foolishness.
Yahweh's Word and Commandments are everlasting and eternal. To ensure that His laws were obeyed the teachers and sages of Israel often built "fences" around each commandment in order to guard against the accidental or possible infringement of biblical laws. The "Jewish Christ" himself taught with "fences" in the Gospels ("but I say unto you" phrases are but one example). The Hebrew Scriptures (Torah) itself gives the power to Jewish leaders to issue such rules (as teaching "fences") in Deut. 17:9-11 and expressly mentions that they are enforceable by sanctions. Let us understand that in doing so the Rabbis never claimed their "fences" or "edicts" (such as introduction of the celebrations of the festivals or Hanukkah or Purim") had the same status as that of the original Laws of the Pentateuch and Torah. Such "fences" protected the people from sinning by imposing limits of conduct and behavior, that when obeyed, would ensure they would not break Yahweh's laws and sin, either accidentally or intentionally.
There is the constant danger that one may add some innovation which constitutes a form of worship that is foreign to Yahweh's revelation and laws. Such brings Yahweh's holy laws down to man's level, the sacred thus becomes secular, and instead of obeying and worshipping the Father in Spirit and Truth we, who follow such "replacement theology", innocently and ignorantly enter into idolatry and sin. This is why we are forbidden to add to the mitzvot (commandments and the Word of Yahweh). Let us never forget that Yahweh is perfect, and His Torah, is "God-breathed" and perfect. If we add or subtract from His Holy Word in effect we are challenging the perfection of the LORD. I truly believe the LORD desires we see and believe His revelation (the Torah) as being permanently valid and perfect, and man's "tinkering" to alter this ancient Divine Revelation for selfish motives destroys such perfection.
If additions and omissions were permitted, it is conceivable that the Torah would become an object for debate and controversy. But what we fear might happen has surely happened. Today, modern scholarship attests to us that without a doubt such additions and omissions to these Sacred Texts have occurred by the thousands. Included in them are a host of problems ranging from purposeful misquotations and mistranslations of the Jewish Scriptures, verses lifted out of their original context with the intent of changing the "original" revelation and meaning given to them as taught through the Jewish Faith, and even the unbelievable creation out of this air of Scriptures which are so often alluded in the New Testament as being "fulfilled". This is the sad legacy we never hear and which he have inherited left us by the Essenes and the later Roman Church. The magnitude of the problem is overwhelming when one studies to the point to see for himself these glaring errors in the Christian's "religious documents." Over 6000 New Testament manuscripts have been discovered and no "two" agree identically. Often they contain marginal "additions" which find themselves incorporated into the "inspired" text in subsequent copies. To the unlearned Christian, many of these marginal additions were the interpretations of the "monks" and their "interpretations" and "theologies" are found to be later no longer scribbled in the corners of the ancient manuscripts, but now we find them incorporated into the texts as if they were penned by the original writers of these Sacred documents when first created and written! Thus we create religious belief systems and religious dogmas and doctrines that often contradict the previous writings and revelations that Yahweh had given to His holy prophets! Such marginal additions have become "church doctrines" today; often much of it "required" for one to be "saved". This violates the Spirit of the Truth as well as the Hebrew Scriptures which are Eternal. This cannot be tolerated if the Torah is to constitute the only supreme authority by which the child of God must live.
Let us never forget when Paul penned "all Scripture is given by the inspiration of God, better understood as "God-breathed". But few stop long enough to think that at this time no Gospels had been written yet and most of his own 7 authentic Epistles were yet on the drawing board. This often quoted passage from our New Testaments refers ONLY to the Hebrew Scriptures which is sadly called the "Old" Testament today. These are the wonderful Hebrew Scriptures and there is nothing "old" about them as they are as important today as ever for humanity.
So we will begin to prove this reality and truth to the reader regarding the corruptions in our Christian Bible; corruptions of prior Sacred Texts that has created a "replacement religion" other than the one that God gave the Jewish nation and Israel to share with the world. This one major problem, a problem that few if any Christians are aware today, is this: the Christian's Old Testaments have been horribly altered from the existing Jewish Scriptures and much "creative replacement theology" has been incorporated in the Christian's Old Testament where many false beliefs have been added among the Jewish passages by the Essenes from 200 B.C.E. where they wrote their "unique" theology into the Greek Translation of the Hebrew Scriptures which only later were accepted and further corrupted by the emerging antisemitic and anti-Gnostic Roman Christian Church. What this means to the Christian today is that our Bibles have in places additions that cannot be found in the Hebrew Scriptures as well as many deletions due to the fact of the "religious creationism" by these groups over the past 2,500 years. This means that the traditional Christian ascribes beliefs to their "New Testament Christ", their Jesus, which are not only false and incorrect but render such a "New Testament" believer (since the New Testament is based off this corrupt Old Testament) an idolater before God. Behind such a sad truth is the fact that because of these alterations, addition, and deletions from the Hebrew Scriptures by later Christian writers we have a false concept in the New Testament regarding not only the Jewish Messiah but "the Christ" of God as well. This we will come to see as our studies advance. To say that this is serious is a gross understatement. This necessitates a serious study of our Christian Bible to see these isolated corruptions to such a degree than we can competently separate the "fiction" from "fact".
